Issey is a 7 year old female Fox Hound cross Podenco (Ibizan Hound). Beautiful girl Issey has a short soft brown and white coat. She was found abandoned with 7 tiny puppies and was so thin and looked so tired when she came to us. Her puppies are now all independent and homed.
Issey is now getting lots of love, cuddles and attention, which she adores. Her weight is up with good regular food. Issey does walk well on a lead.
Issey loves nothing more than a good cuddle and loves being with people, she can get jealous when other dogs are about as she wants all the attention.
However, this can be worked on once she knows the cuddles are for the rest of her life – now this is improving. She enjoys going out for walks with her kennel mate Rocco. Issey is a hunting dog, so we do not recommend she is homed with cats.
When Issey first came into rescue, her blood test showed she had Leish, this was successfully treated to lower all the levels and she is on maintenance medication now. Cheap to treat for 5 months of the year, the rescue will provide this medication for her for life. She is very friendly and likes her cuddles, plus walks well on lead.
