Venezuela is going through darkest times
Once a prosperous oil producer, the country under almost two decades of socialist government, that has managed to end the food and medicine supply, Venezuela now sinks into despair.
Social discontent has generated several waves of protest. The most recent have been a series of civil disobedience demonstrations registered in popular areas of the capital city, once faithful supporters of the revolutionary movement.
Up till now, 10 continuous weeks of resistance, with more than 70 casualties due to to the repressive measures taken by the Nicolás Maduro, dictatorial government. The democratic crisis and aAnd a constitutional coup d ‘état developing, are daily protest triggers.
A cross for Cross
In the popular sector known as “El Paraíso”, located in the west part of Caracas, the dissent against the Chavista government has intensified week by week. Military guards practically camp out of residences and developments to suppress any sign of discontent.
The last measure carried out by the bodies of scientific investigation was to search block by block, in order to infuse terror into its inhabitants, shoot tear gas at residential buildings and, even worse, shoot against pets.
According to Cross owner, Mariana Hernaiz, members of the Bolivarian National Intelligence Service (Sebin) fired to the face of her dog, named Cross, because of this faithful companion, seeing home invaders violating the security of his family, barked at them.
He didn’t attack, he didn’t bite, he didn’t rage against the troops, he just barked at them. Consider also that Cross was a small size dog, mixed with poodle: clearly a threat to national security …
Keeping hope of saving him, Cross was immediately transferred to a veterinary clinic, but he lose too much blood…After giving his last fight, this little one died in the early hours of this Wednesday, June 14, 2017.
